Training Partners

The CAPT Program and FTS International are proud to be affiliated with these leading industry partners.

Aerosim Technologies

Aerosim Technologies was founded in 1993 by a team of engineers with a vision that aviation training should be realistic, state of the art, and provide an enjoyable learning experience.

Armed with their knowledge and experience, the Aerosim Team focused on a single goal: to provide state-of-the-art flight training devices for the commercial and military airline industry worldwide.

Cirrus

Cirrus Design began in 1984 as a kit airplane design and manufacturing company in Baraboo, Wisconsin. In 1994, we moved our headquarters to larger facilities in Duluth, Minnesota and began research and development of the SR20, which was awarded FAA Type Certification in 1998.
Today, Cirrus is the world's second largest manufacturer of single-engine, piston-powered aircraft, and the SR22 is the industry's best selling model.

CAPT sets the world standard in aviation training. The 12-14 month CAPT program continues that tradition, combining academic coursework, intensive simulator training, and flight hours. Scenario-based training exercises foster the development of analytical thinking. Smart classrooms incorporate the latest technology, including an instructor workstation, LCD projector, audio and video players, and Internet access.

Our academic courses provide a comprehensive knowledge of aviation from the beginning of flight to the latest industry trends in flight deck management.
Our flight training is designed using the most advanced concepts in instruction from self-critique to flight journaling to threat-error management.
Experience makes our instructors among the industry's most qualified.

A typical day in the life of a CAPT flight student

The CAPT student is immersed in the airline pilot’s way of life from the first day of “INDOC” (indoctrination) through graduation day. The average day is divided into halves. A half-day is devoted to classroom academics; half is devoted to flight training in aircraft, Fixed Training Devices, or Full Flight Simulators. CAPT emphasizes the development of mature, situation-aware pilots, good flight deck managers, and superior flight skills.

Flagler County Airport

Flagler County Airport is located in Palm Coast, Florida, 23 miles north of Daytona Beach. CAPT's airline-styled operations center allows cadets to conduct flight operations deeply immersed in the commercial airline culture. Starting from day one, the pilot not flying during a portion of the mission acts as a first officer conducting checklists, procedures, and air traffic control communications. The center has state-of-the-art classrooms, computerized presentation systems, simulator training facilities, advanced flight-planning centers, and our industry-leading fleet of aircraft. The new CAPT center at Flagler County Airport offers the pilot in training the best possible learning environment.

Your Career is #1 for Take Off

CAPT grads are competing exceptionally well for regional airline opportunities. The reason? The CAPT program was created to reflect the academic and operational demands of the commercial airline industry. In addition, CAPT’s stringent screening and selection admission process prepares you for the screening process used by the airlines.

Industry's side
Air transport is one of the most dynamic industries in the world. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is its global trade organisation.

Over 60 years, IATA has developed the commercial standards that built a global industry. Today, IATA’s mission is to represent, lead and serve the airline industry. Its members comprise some 250 airlines - the world’s leading passenger and cargo airlines among them - representing 94 percent of international scheduled air traffic.

Representing…
IATA seeks to improve understanding of the industry among decision makers and increase awareness of the benefits that aviation brings to national and global economies. It fights for the interests of airlines across the globe, challenging unreasonable rules and charges, holding regulators and governments to account, and striving for sensible regulation.

Leading…
IATA’s aim is to help airlines help themselves by simplifying processes and increasing passenger convenience while reducing costs and improving efficiency. The groundbreaking Simplifying the Business initiative is crucial in this area. Moreover, safety is IATA’s number one priority, and IATA’s goal is to continually improve safety standards, notably through IATA’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). Another main concern is to minimise the impact of air transport on environment.

Serving…
IATA ensures that people and goods can move around the global airline network as easily as if they were on a single airline in a single country. In addition, it provides essential professional support to all industry stakeholders with a wide range of products and expert services, such as publications, training and consulting. IATA’s financial systems also help carriers and the travel industry maximise revenues.

… For the benefit for all parties involved:
For consumers, IATA simplifies the travel and shipping processes, while keeping costs down. Passengers can make one telephone call to reserve a ticket, pay in one currency and then use the ticket on several airlines in several countries.
IATA allows airlines to operate safely, securely, efficiently and economically under clearly defined rules.
IATA serves as an intermediary between airlines and passenger as well as cargo agents via neutrally applied agency service standards and centralised financial systems.
A large network of industry suppliers and service providers gathered by IATA provides solid expertise to airlines in a variety of industry solutions.
For governments, IATA seeks to ensure they are well informed about the complexities of the aviation industry to ensure better, long-term decisions.

ALL ABOUT AITA ALBAMA INFORMATION TECNOLOGY

Birmingham, Alabama, September 19, 2001 - The Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA) together with the Birmingham Venture Club will sponsor an Angel / Seed Investors Forum in Birmingham in October. Presenting at the forum will be six Alabama information technology startups who will detail their unique solutions to potential investors from across the state.
"AITA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to actively promote the growth of the IT industry in Alabama," according to Byron McCain, the association's executive director. "This Forum is just one of the ways we promote synergy between technology entrepreneurs seeking funding and potential investors, including venture capitalists, angels, and entrepreneur-friendly banks," McCain added.

"AITA is providing a much needed opportunity to facilitate dialog between startups and investors," commented Remigius Shatas, president and CEO of 2C Computing. "The deals available in Alabama are exceptional and we're excited to be chosen as a presenter this year."

Forum presenters submit business plans which are screened by the AITA board, whose members are successful Alabama IT entrepreneurs and executives. The board looks for unique products and solution offerings and sound, well-developed business plans for bringing products to market. Potential investors benefit from the board's initial research concerning a startup's viability, and from early exposure to promising technology innovators. The competition is stiff for presenters' slots at forums, with over 14 submissions and six selected. "AITA provides us great exposure and a chance to be successful. We are grateful for the opportunity to present our company at this distinguished forum," said John Cockerham, president of TouchSafe International. "Meeting AITA's requirements in demonstrating a rational action plan, solid financials, and potential return-on-investment is a tough process. Our preparation has been intense but extremely beneficial," he added.

Companies chosen to present at the October Forum include:

TouchSafe International, develops and distributes state-of-the-art fingerprint identification methods and products for the consumer and business-to-business markets. (Huntsville)
AMS Auctions, a national real estate auction company, provides home ownership and real estate investment opportunities via Internet and "traditional" auctions. (Gadsden)
Rymic Systems, is an innovator of Web-based remote asset monitoring and management products, for industrial, medical, telecom, and military markets. (Huntsville)
Automated Metering and Billing Systems (AMBS) provides hardware, software, and service solutions allowing industrial, utility, and energy companies remote monitoring and control of electric, water, and gas meters. (Huntsville)
Progressive Systems specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of customized network (LAN or WAN) and Internet video monitoring systems. (Birmingham)
2C Computing is a pioneer in digital bus extension technology, a new archetype in distributed computing that provides the most powerful transort method between a PC and a remote desktop. (Huntsville)

The 2001 Angel / Seed Investors Forum is open to the public and will be held October 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the Wynfrey Hotel at the Riverchase Galleria in Birmingham. The Forum will be followed at noon by the monthly AITA Birmingham Area networking luncheon for AITA members and guests. To register for the forum and luncheon, or for more information about AITA, including membership, visit the association's Web site at www.alabama-infotech.org.
Forum sponsors include Deutsche Bank; Balch & Bingham; Price Waterhouse Coopers; Sirote Permutt; Lehman Brothers; Maynard, Cooper, & Gale; Ernst & Young; Deloitte & Touche; Burr & Forman; Bradley, Arant, Rose & White; RNR Ventures; Pentium Capital Group; Harbert Management; and Benton Newton & Partners.

NIIT as a Microsoft IT Academy :

NIIT has been assigned as a Microsoft IT Academy by the IT giant, Microsoft. NIIT, from the first day of operation, has recognized the importance of building and maintaining professional ties with major international IT companies. These companies lead the IT industry and draw its future and NIIT uses its strong relations with these companies to transfer the technological developments of these companies to the Palestinian IT sector. Such technologies are then employed to serve the national economy once properly put in use.

NIIT, through its IT Academy, will benefit greatly from Microsoft’s expertise in the areas of training, research, and human resources development. NIIT is obliged to transfer the knowledge to the IT Sector in Palestine.

Being assigned as a MS IT Academy, NIIT:

got to authorize its trainers as Microsoft Certified Trainers which will increase their efficiency and competitiveness,

has the opportunity to consult with Microsoft experts on issues related to latest technologies,

can train two of its trainers on latest Microsoft products under the supervision of Microsoft experts,

can receive technical support from Microsoft experts on implementing demanded training programs,

can consult with MS and exchange information and knowledge with it to get better results,

can make extra crucial information available to its employees through a private web site that can only be accessed by academy members. In addition to receiving free copies of the MS TechNet Plus Kit.
